A Japanese cabinet with three drawers. Probably used for jewellery storage, perhaps for letters.
The cabinet has decorative drawings from nature: birds and plants.
The handle and the mounts of the door are also decorated.
All three drawers have a secret bottom drawer. This space is very thin, one (love)letter fits in each drawer.
The cabinet is in good condition. The door closes well and the drawers slide in and out easily.
Some paint damage in a few places.
The door is a bit warped, which can only be seen from the top.
The locking system probably once had a small chain to connect the hole in the door and the side. This is now missing.
